Aliis has no accounts and no billing, so most of what's usually here doesn't apply. What's left is below.
By downloading or using Aliis, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Aliis is a personal, on-device journal for logging contributions and reflections. It is provided free of charge, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
Everything you write in Aliis — entries, notes, reflections — is yours. We never see it, never receive a copy of it, and have no way to access it, because it's stored only on your device. You're solely responsible for backing it up (via the export feature) if you want a copy outside the app.
Aliis does not require or offer an account. We hold no login credentials, no profile, and no copy of your data. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Aliis is currently distributed through Apple's TestFlight as a private beta. Beta software may change, break, or be discontinued without notice. Please don't rely on it as your only record of anything important — use the export feature regularly if the app matters to you.
Aliis is designed with young people in mind. If you're under 13, we encourage using it alongside a parent or guardian.
Use Aliis for its intended purpose — a private record for yourself. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app or the widget/App Group mechanism it relies on.
Aliis is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it working well, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or available at all times — especially during the beta period.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, indirect damages, or other harm arising from your use of the app. Because all data lives on your device, we specifically cannot recover lost data on your behalf — please export regularly if that matters to you.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will also be reflected in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
