The short version: No accounts, no names, no emails, no ads, no tracking. Your list and everything you've done stay on your phone. Keep never asks for your name or anything you'd type about yourself. What's shared: an anonymous count of which moments get kept and, only if you use Match or Circles, your sky and the star name you picked, with the people you choose.
1. What stays on your phone
Your rounds, your sign, your Keep list, what you did and who was there, your notes, and your settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
Backups are yours. If you tap Back up, Keep makes a file and hands it to you to save wherever you like (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop). We never see it. Restoring reads that file back onto your phone.
2. The commons: anonymous counts
When you finish a round, Keep sends which moments fell and which you kept, plus the mode, deck and day. That's how the app can say "62% of players kept this today."
- It's tied to a random code your phone makes the first time you open Keep. It isn't linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other app.
- We use that code only to limit spam. It's never shown to anyone.
- Other players only ever see percentages, never anyone's sky (except in Match and Circles, below).
Match and Circles: shared with people you choose
If you send a match or join a circle, Keep shares the five moments you kept in that drop, their whys, your speed, the star name you picked (like "Vega"), and your guesses, with the one friend in that match or the people in that circle.
- They see your sky only after they've played the same stars themselves.
- Your random code, never your Apple ID, is how the server knows which matches and circles are yours. Nobody else ever sees it.
- Leave a circle anytime in the app. Matches end after a week. To delete your match and circle history, use You → Delete my data from Keep's server.
- Hiding and reporting: you can hide anyone you've played with. Hiding works both ways: neither of you sees the other's matches, skies or name again. Reporting someone also hides them and tells Keep's moderator which match or circle it was. A circle's owner can remove members. Star names and circle names come from fixed lists, so nobody can type a name, message or link that others see.
3. Your own stars
You can add moments of your own. They fall only in your drops and stay on your phone. They're never sent to us or shown to anyone, and they aren't part of the counts.
4. What we never do
- No accounts, sign-in, or email collection.
- No advertising, ad IDs, or cross-app tracking.
- No selling or sharing of data.
- No location, contacts, photos, or microphone.
6. Your choices
- Delete your data from our server: in Keep, open You → Delete my data from Keep's server. It deletes everything tied to your phone's random code: counts, matches, circles and reports. Your phone then gets a new code.
- Erase everything: You → Erase everything does that, then clears Keep from your phone too. Deleting the app clears your phone but not our server, so use the button first.
- Reminders: turn them on or off in Keep's settings or in iOS Settings.
7. Children
Keep is for teens and adults, and isn't directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age: no names, no contact details, and nothing typed is ever shared.
8. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and say so in the app first.
