Portraits of Purposeful Youth

An interactive translational initiative exploring youth purpose across personal, experiential, and contextual lenses.

Portraits of Purposeful Youth is a translational initiative we developed to examine how youth purpose is seen across a variety of roles and perspectives.

The project draws from developmental science, positive youth development, identity research, ecological perspectives, and lived experience to support a broader understanding of purposeful experience.

Through interactive portraits, reflective studios, open questions, and public contributions, the platform seeks to create a more accessible and participatory infrastructure for thinking about youth purpose.

The initiative is intentionally interdisciplinary and evolving. It is designed to support researchers, educators, youth-serving organizations, students, families, and curious members of the public interested in the role purpose plays in human development and flourishing.
